On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the rescue of the Bulgarian Jews from the death camps, students from the Bourgas‘ School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences „Acad. Nikola Obreshkov“ organized a series of thematic days under the slogan: “Learning from the past, we act for the future”. Through various events the young people became sympathetic to the act of salvation of the Jews in Bulgaria and paid tribute to those, who died in the gas chambers.
The team of Center Alef, headed by Alberta Alkalay, responded to the suggestion of the high school and took part in several events, which received an impressive response from the students.
This is the true formula for Alef’s collaboration with schools, a proof of which is the thank-you letter, sent to Albert Alkalay by the director of the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences „Acad. Nikola Obreshkov“, Krassimir Stoyanov.
