His wise thoughts were the inspirations of the participants of Alef’s IV literary youth competition who accepted his words as a starting point for their future : “There is no place for small dreams”.
In 2010, when he visited Bulgaria as President of the State of Israel, Shimon Peres sent the following message: “I can tell you Bulgarians – as long as we were small, let’s be big, because size is not a function of area and population, but of personalities , education and spirit. And Bulgaria is a blessed land with good and positive people. “
